Mangalore Dog Show 2026: Karavali Canine Club 23rd & 24th All Breeds Championship Show

What is the Karavali Canine Club dog show in Mangalore?

It is a KCI (Kennel Club of India) all breeds championship dog show held by Karavali Canine Club in Mangalore. Every dog is judged against the written standard for its own breed. Breed winners then go forward to the group rings and the top awards of the day.

The KCI schedule lists the club’s 23rd and 24th shows for the weekend of Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026. Which numbered show falls on Saturday and which on Sunday is not listed, so no day is assigned to either.

Is the Karavali Canine Club dog show in Mangalore or Udupi?

The show city is Mangalore. The club’s listed secretary writes from an address in Udupi, which is a separate city in Udupi district, about 60 km north of Mangalore (approximate). That address is where the club is reached, not where the dogs are shown.

If you are searching for a dog show in Udupi on these dates, the listing points to Mangalore instead. Udupi readers have their own guide below that measures the distance from the show city.

Mangalore or Mangaluru: which spelling should I search?

Both names mean the same city in Dakshina Kannada district. The KCI listing uses Mangalore, so this guide does too. The city is also spelled Mangaluru, and either spelling points to the same show.

What does the Karavali in the club name mean?

Karavali is the name used for the coastal strip of Karnataka that runs along the Arabian Sea, and the club is named after it. The show is therefore a coastal Karnataka event, held in Mangalore in Dakshina Kannada district.

Who are the judges at the Karavali Canine Club show?

The KCI schedule has not announced the judges for this show. No judge names are listed, so none appear on this page, and none are guessed. A published panel is what to look for if you want to know who judges a particular breed.

Can I attend the dog show in Mangalore?

The KCI listing does not say who may attend as a spectator, or whether visitors are admitted at all. Ask Karavali Canine Club first, using the secretary’s mobile number or email on this page.

Pet policy is not listed either. Plan for your own dog to stay at home unless the club says otherwise, and ask what spectators pay at the gate before you set out.

How should I plan two show days in Mangalore?

The show runs across a Saturday and a Sunday. If you only want to see the breeds and the atmosphere, one day is enough. If you are coming for a particular breed, the listing does not say which breeds are judged on which day, so check with the club before you plan around it.

Timings are not listed either. Call the secretary’s mobile number on this page for the start time, and carry water, a hat and comfortable shoes for a long day on your feet.

What will I see at an all breeds championship dog show in Karnataka?

• Breed rings, where each breed is judged in turn against its standard
• Classes by age and status, such as Minor Puppy, Puppy, Junior, Open and Champion
• Group and top-award judging for the breed winners
• Handlers grooming and presenting their dogs near the rings
• Breeders and club members who are happy to talk about their dogs

How do I enter my dog in the Karavali Canine Club show?

Karavali Canine Club takes the entries, not Pupps & Stud. The KCI listing does not set out the entry process, so ask the secretary for the entry form, the closing date, the classes on offer and the documents the club wants to see.

No closing date is listed for the Karavali entries, so the window may already have shut. The secretary’s mobile number and email on this page are the way to ask. Also ask which class your dog’s age puts it in, and how and where the form is returned.

Planning for a later show? Ask the club for its checklist early, so you have time to gather whatever it asks for.

What should I ask Karavali Canine Club before I travel?

• The exact venue in Mangalore, since the KCI listing names only the city
• The time the first rings open on Saturday 21 and on Sunday 22 November
• The spectator fee and parking at the ground, once the venue is known
• Whether a judge panel exists yet, as none is on the listing
• Whether entries are still open, if you want to show a dog from the coast

Coming to Mangalore from a nearby town?

Coastal Karnataka visitors reach Mangalore from several directions. The town guides below give the distance and a visit plan for each, and one of them explains why Udupi, which appears in the club’s listed address, is not the show town.

Next KCI dog shows

These upcoming shows have a guide on Pupps & Stud. The full KCI dog show calendar lists more shows.

How can a puppy buyer use the Mangalore show?

A show ring is the quickest way to compare breeds side by side. Watch how dogs of the same breed carry themselves, how calm they stay around crowds, and how handlers speak to them. Then talk to the breeders at the ringside about the parents, health checks and what a typical day with the breed looks like.

When you are ready, look for a puppy with KCI registration and a breeder who answers your questions openly. A puppy buyer consultant can help you shortlist breeds before you meet any breeder.

Are you a breeder in coastal Karnataka?

Breeders in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts can register on Pupps & Stud and list their KCI-registered puppies for buyers who have found the breed they want.
