Dog Show Near Bathinda: Kotkapura Championship Show, Nov 28-29

How far is Kotkapura from Bathinda?

About 55 km by road (approximate), heading north. Bathinda is in Bathinda district and Kotkapura is in Faridkot district. This is the longest of the Kotkapura town guides, and the listing names the town only.

Day trip or overnight from Bathinda?

Both can work. A day trip is possible if you leave early and stay for the rings you came for. If you plan to show a dog on both days, or to see a breed whose day is not listed, an overnight stay is easier than two long journeys.

Do not book a room until you know the venue. The KCI listing does not give it.

How should I travel with a dog from Bathinda?

Use a crate or a secure harness, plan a stop for water, and keep the dog cool. Ask Kotkapura Kennel Club which documents to carry, and keep any entry confirmation with you. No closing date is listed, so entries may already have closed for this edition.

Is the Kotkapura show worth the distance from Bathinda?

If you want to see many breeds in one place, yes. A championship show puts dozens of breeds and handlers in one venue, which saves you visiting breeders one by one.

What should I sort out before I leave Bathinda?

• Whether to make it a day trip or stay overnight, since the trip is about 55 km (approximate) each way
• The venue, before you book anything, because the listing names the town only
• The start time and your return time
• Where an exhibitor’s dog will rest during the day

What do the shorter Kotkapura trips look like?

Faridkot (about 15 km from Kotkapura) and Jaitu (about 20 km) are the shortest trips among the four guides, and Muktsar at about 40 km (approximate) is the middle case. Each guide covers the same weekend with its own travel notes.

Planning to buy a puppy from Bathinda?

Match the breed to your home first. Browse KCI-registered puppies from verified breeders on Pupps & Stud, ask for the parents’ papers, and consider a puppy buyer consultant if you want help comparing breeds.

Which breed suits an active household?

Active households suit breeds that need lots of exercise, but only if the whole family keeps it up. Read the breed guide for each dog you liked, and ask breeders how many hours a day their dogs really need.
