Dog Show Near Doiwala: Dehradun Championship Show, Dec 6

How far is Dehradun from Doiwala?

About 22 km by road (approximate). Dehradun lies north-north-west of Doiwala, a town in Dehradun district that sits between the city and Rishikesh. Of the four town guides for this show, Doiwala has the shortest road distance.

The KCI listing names the city, not the ground, so the figure is to Dehradun itself and the real distance changes with the venue.

Can I do the Dehradun show as a short outing from Doiwala?

At about 22 km by road (approximate) the trip is short, and with only one show date, Sunday 6 December 2026, a morning start and an afternoon return is a realistic plan. The listing gives no start time, so phone the secretary before you fix the day.

Because the distance is small, you could look in for part of the programme only, for instance the breed you came to see, rather than stay for the whole day.

Leaving a dog at home in Doiwala

The listing says nothing on pets in the grounds, so arrange for family or a neighbour to look after your dog while you are out. Keep the water bowl full and the house cool before you leave.

Can a Doiwala dog take part?

Doon Valley Kennel Club handles the entries. The listing sets out no entry rules or closing date, which means the window may have shut already. Find the secretary’s mobile number on the event guide.

A checklist before you set out from Doiwala

• Which hour the rings open, since the schedule names no time
• The venue inside Dehradun, as the listing names only the city
• Whether visitors are admitted and what they pay
• Whether you want to see both numbered shows, the 72nd and the 73rd, and how the day is divided between them

Which other towns have a Dehradun show guide?

Doiwala is closer than the rest, and three other towns have guides of their own. Mussoorie, about 35 km by road up the hill (approximate), Vikasnagar to the north-west at about 37 km by road, and Rishikesh at about 42 km on the far side of Doiwala.

How do you pick a breed that fits a Doiwala household?

Start with the hours you are home and the space you have, not the look of the dog. Read the breed guide for each candidate and write down its exercise, grooming and noise needs before you speak to a breeder.

Searching for a puppy near Doiwala?

A responsible breeder shows the puppy’s KCI registration paper and lets you see the dam with her litter. Browse KCI-registered puppies on Pupps & Stud, or book a puppy buyer consultation if you are still choosing between breeds.

Is there a Doiwala breeder who should be listed?

Breeders in and around Doiwala can register on Pupps & Stud and list their KCI-registered puppies. Photos of the parents and a note on their health checks help a buyer decide.
