Dog Show Near Irinjalakuda: Thrissur Canine Club Show, Dec 5-6

Irinjalakuda to Thrissur: how far, and in which direction?

About 25 km by road (approximate). Thrissur town lies north of Irinjalakuda, a municipal town in Thrissur district, Kerala. The KCI listing gives the venue only as Kerala, so this is a figure to Thrissur town and cannot be read as the distance to the ground.

It is the only southern guide of the four, so a visitor from Irinjalakuda travels in the opposite direction from the Wadakkanchery and Kunnamkulam readers.

What the 25 km leaves out for Irinjalakuda readers

The figure ignores the last stretch to an unnamed ground. If the club announces a venue on the north side of Thrissur town, an Irinjalakuda trip gets longer than 25 km; if it is on the south side, shorter. Nothing in the listing settles it.

Ask the secretary for the ground and its town, then measure again.

Planning the two days from Irinjalakuda

The show runs on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December 2026. Which of the 48th and 49th shows is on which day is not listed, and judging times are missing too. A short phone call to the secretary settles all three before you commit a day.

Showing a dog from Irinjalakuda: handling and classes

Dogs are entered by age class, so a young dog that is a few months from the next class boundary may fit better on one day than the other. The listing gives no class schedule, so ask whether puppy classes are run and on which day.

Watching a ring for an hour is a useful first step for a new exhibitor, if the club admits visitors.

Can a spectator from Irinjalakuda walk in?

The KCI listing is silent on spectator admission, the gate charge and children. Thrissur Canine Club decides all three, and its secretary’s details are on the event guide.

Irinjalakuda alongside the other Thrissur town guides

Irinjalakuda is about 25 km by road south of Thrissur town (approximate). The other three guides lie to the north and west: Wadakkanchery at about 20 km by road to the north-north-east, Kunnamkulam at about 25 km to the north-west and Guruvayur at about 27 km to the west-north-west.

How to research a breed from Irinjalakuda before you commit

Read the guide for a breed, then watch two or three adult dogs of that breed in person. Size, noise and energy are easier to judge in a living animal than on a page. Write down the daily cost of food and grooming before you speak to any seller.

A puppy from near Irinjalakuda: documents and health

A registered puppy needs its KCI papers, and a responsible seller can show vaccination dates and the parents’ health checks. Pupps & Stud lists puppies from verified breeders, and a consultation can narrow the choice of breed.

Irinjalakuda breeders: where to list a litter

Breeders in and around Irinjalakuda can register on Pupps & Stud. Listing a litter with parent photos and papers puts it in front of buyers who are comparing breeds after a show.
